Backup Traders is the open door that lets traders who weren’t pre-selected for the national team still join Season 1. Traders rally under a single team name to support their country and compete on the same leaderboard as the official national team. High-performing backup traders may even outrank official representatives within their country bracket and claim a larger share of the prize pool.

Why Backup Traders exist

The official national roster is intentionally small and selective — it spotlights the very best, vetted traders. Backup Traders exist so the competition stays open to everyone else. A backup trader who posts a higher net PnL than national representatives may receive matching recognition. The structure rewards actual performance, not selection pedigree.

Self-organized

Any eligible trader can form a team. Joining as a national team trader automatically grants team-leader status and turns you into a mirror trader.

Follower-amplified

Mirror trading volume from followers who join a backup trader team is added to the team’s total volume. The stronger your follower base, the better your shot at the larger event prizes.

Prize-eligible

Backup traders also share in the National Showdown prize pool, and they have a real shot at finishing No. 1 on overall PnL.

Team composition

There is no upper limit on the number of backup traders.
A backup trader belongs to exactly one country.
Any Aster user can apply, and the entry amount is fixed at up to 5,000 USDT.To participate, your Aster wallet balance must be at least 5,000 USDT. Deposits above 5,000 USDT are not allowed.Backup traders do not go through a separate screening process. See Rules for the full eligibility list.

Yes. The leaderboard sorts by PnL regardless of team type.
Season 1 has official national traders for both Korea and Japan. In future seasons, if a country lacks active national traders, the highest-ranked backup trader from that country takes over the national-team weighting position.
